Welcome to CC Plants…
ALL ORDERS FOR PLANTS WILL BE WEIGHED AND COST FOR POST/PACKING CAN BE ADDED TO TOTAL THEN PAYMENT CAN BE MADE VIA PAYPAL or Bank Transfer
THERE ARE SOME PROBLEMS WITH THIS SITE – IT DOESN’T ADD POST/PACKING TO ORDERS and also puts any money posted into pending – i will therefore not accept any pending payments which come through – i shall void them and message the sender of the order via email with new total to pay including p/p if you still wish to proceed with the order!
I DO APOLOGISE FOR THE PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SITE!
Hello my name is Cathy and I’d like to welcome you to my website where I shall be selling my hardy Scottish grown plants online as well as at Markets, Flower Shows and events throughout the Spring to Autumn season.
Markets are not as popular as they have been in the past, footfall and spend is way down and some have now vanished others on their way! Fortunately a new Market has been organised by 2 Ladies who know how to set up and run a country market so I will be attending Dunkeld Craft Collective Market on the last Saturday of the month commencing April to September 2018 at The Taybank!
As many of my regular customers know I don’t sell from home as I basically live in the middle of nowhere down two private dirt tracks! My normal selling season for markets is April to September when the plants are looking at their best, but with mail order I am hoping to extend the season – weather permitting out here! I have posted some photos in the Gallery to give you some idea of the extreme conditions we can have out here most years. I’m basically only 10 miles from Perth, but it seems a world away in the winter months!
How C C Plants are grown
I grow mainly hardy herbaceous perennials, shrubs and grasses – if they grow out here, I think you’ll find they’ll grow practically anywhere! A lot of plants are grown from seed, which I still find fascinating, and I’m always on the lookout for new and unusual plants which I will test here in my own garden to make sure they are hardy enough to survive! The rest are done from splitting and cuttings, but plants with propagating rights must be bought in, and I have a few reliable sources for cutting/plug material – I never buy in ready plants for resale! Therefore plugs etc are still grown here for at least 1 to 2 years before sale to ensure they’ve acclimatised! It’s nearly 20 years since I started growing and selling plants, initially at a boot sale, then local events and Farmers Markets. Keep checking out the events page on a monthly basis, as I do Gardening Scotland, Royal Highland Show, Dundee Flower Show etc, throughout the year. I usually have a huge range of plants at these shows as I take trolley loads with me, but if you would like to collect specific plants at the show, please email and let me know in advance and I shall bring it for you – even if there’s a plant you’re looking for and it’s not on the list, please ask – not every plant is detailed there! If you are looking for a particular plant on the site, please use the search box on the right of the top menu bar. Looking forward to hearing from old and new customers alike.
